Scuba Diver & Scuba UpgradeCourse Overview The Course Consists Of 8 Sessions:3 Academic Sessions (Classroom) The classroom sessions consist of the first three lessons of the PADI Open water Course, each lasting a period of approximately one and a half hours. 3 Confined Water Sessions (Pool) The confined water sessions consist of 3 dives in a swimming pool. This will teach you the basic necessary skills and safety procedures to be able to go into the Open Water. 2 Open water Dives Here is where you will put the classroom and the pool training into practice. The open water sessions consist of one surface session and two dives in the sea at a local coral island. Course Schedule 9am till 4-30pm everyday a new course starts. Average class size consists of one to six students for all classroom, pool and open water sessions. Usually the course can be completed in two days, but time and schedules can be arranged to meet your requirements. Includes Full equipment rental, Instruction, Boat fees, Certification fees with PADI and your personal log book. Excludes: PADI Open Water Manual , which can be purchased from ourselves at a special rate. Course Dates: We have courses starting everyday, but if you have a particular date in mind you need to start and finish by, or any special requirements please contact the shop for a personalized schedule. What Will It Let You Do? With a PADI Scuba Diver Certification Card, you will be able to obtain air fills, scuba equipment and other services for diving under supervision. After completing the program, you will want to continue your dive education and the PADI Open water Course to explore more dive opportunities. What Is After This course? By completing 2 or more classroom sessions, 2 more Confined Water Sessions and 2 more Open water Dives, you will then qualify as a PADI Open Water Diver. The materials you use to complete the PADI Scuba Diver Course is the same as the PADI Open Water Course, so you are already on your way to continuing further dive adventures. You will then be able to complete the PADI Adventure diver or the PADI Advanced Open Water Course, and also do a variety of PADI Speciality Courses. Who Can Do The Course? Anyone age 15 or over qualifies for the PADI Scuba Diver program. If you are between the ages of 10-14 a PADI Junior Scuba Diver program is available. Open Water DiverCourse Overview Academic (Classroom) The classroom sessions consist of five lessons each lasting a period of approximately 1-2 hours. Confined Water (pool) The confined water sessions consist of five sessions in a swimming pool. Here you will learn the necessary skills to be able to go into the Open Water. Students are recommenced (but not required)to have their own mask and snorkel for personal hygiene and comfort. Openwater Dives This is where you will put the classroom and the pool training into practice. The openwater sessions consist of one surface session and four dives in the sea at a local coral island. Course Schedule Options: Option 1: 9am 4-30pm, everyday a new course starts The average class size consists of one to four students for the classroom sessions, pool and openwater dives. These can be scheduled at any time to suit you personal requirements. Option 2: Intensive Courses / Flexible Schedule Due to your busy life style you may find it inconvient to do four consecutive days, we will be more than happy to arrange a course that suits your requirements. Check with us for a personalized course. Option 3: Referral Due to time or preference, you have the choice to do your dives whilst on holiday abroad, and complete all academic and pool sessions before you leave your home town. Check out you local dive centre for details of the refferal option. Then it's off to a tropical island to complete your open water dives. Course Standards The purpose of the Openwater Diver Course is to provide you the student with the elemental knowledge and skills to safely gain experience in the diving environment and ultimately to dive independently. The course is performance based and is designed to take you through from simple to more complex diving objectives, such as entering the water to achieving neutral buoyancy. Initial openwater training is based on mastering skills and gaining diving experience at gradually increasing depths. Any diver who is certified to Openwater level must understand that they are qualified to: Apply the knowledge and skills they are taught during the Openwater course.
