Managing Director and PADI Master Instructor, Dave, (pictured Left), came to Thailand in 1990 and has been teaching diving in the Kingdom ever since. Dave, from Surrey in England, started his diving career in Townsville Australia in 1989 and whilst working on Magnetic Island in Queensland, Australia, he was fortunate enough have been selected to crew a vessel belonging to AIMs (Australian Institute of Marine Science). It was during these voyages around the world that Dave decided to return to England to become a PADI Instructor and share his love of diving with others.

Dave later enrolled in a PADI Instructor Development Course in England and continued on to successfully pass the PADI Instructor Examination, in Stony Cove, Leicester.
As a fully licensed Scuba Diver Instructor Dave was employed at the Jersey Water sport Centre in Bouley Bay Jersey, UK, where he worked for two summer seasons, with the winter in Pattaya, he then decided that he would stay in Thailand. The Beautiful islands of Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan and Koh Tao were his home for the next two years working for Koh Samui International Diving School, the very first CDC centre in Thailand.
Dave returned north back to Pattaya where he worked for a number of dive centres gaining experience in the local dive industry. He was the original owner/partner of Aquanauts for two years then opened and managed Mermaids Pattaya in 1999, a few years ago he decided the time was right to go it alone so all partnerships ended. Dave now armed with more experience and time served right here in Pattaya than any other individual in the PADI dive industry decided to bring Pattaya into the 21st century with a new state of the art dive boat and a new image and name, Pattaya Dive Centre. This is where you will find him everyday.
Our sales staff are all Thai nationals, are Divers themselves, are fluent in English and have a comprehensive knowledge of our dive equipment and the courses and dive trips we provide.

Kim (Pictured Left) has been at PDC since its inception and those who know her would tell you she has an uncanny memory for remembering everyone that has visited our centre. Kim holds a PADI Open Water Diver.   A matter of fact....

Despite all the claims you read on many web sites, we are the longest established, the biggest, the first, we have taught the most etc etc the Pattaya dive centre is the only dive centre here in town that is still operated by the original owner and still in the same location. Nobody has been teaching diving in Pattaya longer than the owner of Pattaya dive centre. We have been responsible for teaching many of them their Open Water course, living proof that diving can really change your life, Dave the owner has personally been responsible for many of them getting their first job as a Dive master or Instructor. Our aim is simple we do not want to be the biggest or teach the most people, but to offer the very best for every customer that walks into our dive centre. We want to be able to remember your name and offer customer satisfaction, training built to your needs rather than pushing you into courses you do not want or need just for profit.

Now in our 10th year of operation we are the longest established dive centre on Pattaya Beach road that is still owned and operated by the same sales and management team in one location. We are the only PADI 5 star IDC dive centre with all our facilities in one convenient location, retail shop, classroom, workshop, rental equipment, air and nitrox filling station. Dive and snorkelling trips leave daily from the beach opposite the dive centre, less than 30 metres away saving long trips to and from the Bali Hai pier.
